How does it work?

1. Get in touch and arrange an appointment for us to come and take details and photographs before any work starts.

2. We sell the kitchen and arrange payment whilst your builder carefully takes the old kitchen out.

3. The buyer collects once it is out and we give you a cheque to spend on the new one!

What helps a kitchen to sell?

SINK & SURFACES. Worksurfaces, sinks, draining boards, taps and waste disposal. Granite holds its value very well and there is a large second-hand market, although most other surfaces will sell too. Take care not to damage it in extraction. Longer runs are better. Branded sinks and other plumbing help the kitchen to sell.

APPLIANCES. Including the built-in appliances will help the value of the kitchen. Brand names such as Miele, Neff, Bosch sell best, and if there is any remaining guarantee, then it is worth digging out.

UNITS. Kitchen units; cupboards, shelving and display areas. Solid timber units or doors, together with quality handles and hinges push the price up. Knowing the brand (from Ikea to Smallbone) really helps. Ask your builder to extract them as carcasses (rather than flat-packed): this helps the buyer.

What does it cost?

Our basic fees for kitchens are £50 to come (within London) and photograph and prepare the listing, plus our standard commission rate (35% + VAT). This includes all eBay, Paypal and other fees.
